Lauren Lairson, MS, CGC, is a certified and licensed genetic counselor specializing in perinatal genetics at 91制片厂在线看 Children鈥檚 Hospital, Delaware. She earned her Master of Science in Genetic Counseling from the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine, where her training included experience in a fetal care center setting.

In her work, Lauren is known for providing thoughtful, practical care that helps patients of all backgrounds feel informed and supported. Why I Am a Genetic Counselor With the Fetal Care Center

In the fetal care setting, she is especially grateful to be part of a team that can provide thoughtful care and guidance during moments that may feel uncertain.

What I'm Passionate About

Lauren is passionate about honoring each patient鈥檚 values and lived experiences and about making genetic information accessible and useful. She enjoys working as part of a multidisciplinary fetal care team and partnering with other providers to ensure families receive coordinated, thoughtful care. One of the most rewarding parts of her work is helping patients understand their options and feel more grounded as they navigate what brought them to the clinic.

How I Try to Make A Difference

Lauren strives to make a difference by being thorough and approachable. She is committed to explaining complex information clearly and making sure patients feel comfortable with their understanding. She works with each patient to identify a path forward that aligns with their needs, values, and priorities. Her goal is for each person to leave with a stronger understanding of their options and to feel empowered about how they want to move forward, whatever that may look like.

Research Activities

Lauren鈥檚 research has included work focused on 22q11.2 deletion syndrome, including its prenatal presentation, as well as examining genetic test utilization in the inpatient setting. She is broadly interested in efforts that improve access to genetic services, support thoughtful test use, and enhance the patient experience.
